MISAMIS OCCIDENTAL, Philippines — Governor Henry S. Oaminal has officially expressed his gratitude and commitment after being appointed by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. as the Chairperson of the Regional Development Council (RDC)-10 for the 2025–2028 term.
In his statement, Governor Oaminal said he is deeply honored and thankful to President Marcos for the trust and confidence in giving him the responsibility to lead the regional council. The RDC is the highest policy-making and planning body in Northern Mindanao that coordinates programs and projects between the national and local governments.
Oaminal also extended his thanks to the RDC-10 officers, governors, city mayors, heads of national government agencies, private sector representatives, and other members who nominated him, along with Governor Rogelio Neil Roque of Bukidnon and Governor Xavier Jesus Romualdo of Camiguin.
He acknowledged the support of his fellow Misamisnons and his Asenso colleagues, saying their unity helped him reach this position. “This appointment carries great responsibility and accountability — and with it, the challenges that lie ahead,” he said.
Governor Oaminal emphasized that his leadership will continue to promote unity and inclusive growth, not only for Misamis Occidental but for the whole of Northern Mindanao. “Padayon ta sa pagkugi — this time, not only for Asenso Misamis Occidental, but for Asenso Northern Mindanao,” he said.
As RDC-10 Chairperson, Governor Oaminal is expected to lead in aligning regional development plans with national priorities, promoting sustainable growth, and strengthening inter-LGU partnerships.
His appointment marks another milestone in his public service journey, reflecting the Asenso brand of leadership — one centered on peace, progress, and prosperity for all.
