MISAMIS OCCIDENTAL, Philippines – With a solid and unprecedented display of unity, nine barangays in the 2nd District of Misamis Occidental delivered a 100% voting record in favor of Congressman Ando Oaminal—giving zero votes to his political opponent.
In recognition of this overwhelming mandate, Rep. Oaminal is allocating ₱15 million worth of projects for each barangay, totaling ₱135 million under his Padayon Asenso program. The projects will be community-determined—allowing the people themselves to choose which developments matter most to them.
The nine barangays are:
• Guingona, Dalapang, Mentiring, and Sangay Daku in Ozamiz City
• Sebasi and Penacio in Clarin
• Colupan and Alto Dinas in Sinacaban
• Lake Duminagat in Don Victoriano
“Dili ordinaryo ang inyong suporta. Kini usa ka bug-os ug hugot nga pagsalig nga among tubagon sa tinuod nga serbisyo. Sa matag barangay, kamo mismo ang magbuot sa proyekto. Kay kamo ang mas nakasabot sa inyong tinuod nga panginahanglan,” pamahayag ni Rep. Oaminal.
Each of the ₱15 million allocations will be fully guided by the barangay’s own prioritization—be it infrastructure, health, water access, education, or livelihood support. Oaminal emphasizes that “Padayon Asenso is people-centered, and powered by trust.”
During a public address, Ozamiz City Councilor Jun Carlo Murallon added historical context to the movement, stating:
“Si Congressman Ando Oaminal ang Original Mr. Asenso—diha gayod gikan ang inspirasyon sa ngalan nga ‘Asenso Ozamiz.’”
Councilor Murallon’s statement underscores the deep roots of the Asenso brand of leadership, which has become a rallying call for progress across Misamis Occidental.
As these projects begin to materialize in the nine barangays, the clear message remains: this is not just about votes—it’s about partnership, people-first governance, and a shared vision for development.
