(MHARSMC), Ozamiz City Mayor Sam Norman G. Fuentes
delivered a message filled with gratitude and admiration for the men and women
of the province’s leading healthcare institution.
Mayor Fuentes underscored that the celebration was more than a commemoration — it was a tribute to the resilience, compassion, and commitment of those who dedicate their lives to serving others. “Today, we honor the doctors, nurses, administrative, and support staff who serve as the frontline guardians of health in our province,” he said. “Your tireless service, especially in times of challenge and crisis, reflects the highest ideals of public service. Indeed, MHARS Medical Center has remained steadfast as a pillar of hope and healing for the Misamisnons.”
He praised MHARS Medical Center for its enduring dedication amid crises and commended the institution for being an essential partner in ensuring public health across Misamis Occidental.
As the city’s chief executive, Mayor Fuentes reaffirmed his administration’s full support to MHARS Medical Center, aligning with the Asenso Brand of Service — a governance model rooted in ethical leadership, people-centered service, and community collaboration.
“We share a common vision,” Fuentes said. “That every Misamisnon deserves to live malinawon, malambuon, ug malipayon — peaceful, progressive, and happy. This vision can only be achieved if our people are healthy and cared for.”
He emphasized that the local government will continue to strengthen collaboration with health institutions to ensure healthcare that is accessible, compassionate, and transformative for every family.
Closing his message, Mayor Fuentes extended his heartfelt congratulations to the MHARS Medical Center family:
“May this celebration inspire us all to continue building a community anchored on peace, prosperity, and people-centered service. Padayon ta sa pag-alagad para sa katawhan. Padayon ta sa Kanunay Asenso Ozamiz!”
The Annual Hospital Day stands as a powerful reminder of the indispensable role of healthcare workers in the province — steadfast in their duty, compassionate in their service, and ever committed to the health and well-being of every Misamisnon.
