Fuentes opened his message by acknowledging the guidance and
grace of the Almighty, which he credited for the smooth conduct of the
electoral process. He extended his thanks to all government agencies involved
in ensuring orderly elections, especially the Commission on Elections
(COMELEC), teachers from the Department of Education who served as poll
workers, and the Philippine National Police and Armed Forces personnel who
safeguarded the peace throughout the voting period.
The mayor-elect also recognized the strong support of the
people of Ozamiz who entrusted him with the city’s leadership. He highlighted
