In a heartwarming display of honesty and integrity, motorcab driver Samson Malmis Elcarte proved that good deeds still shine brightly in today’s world. On January 20, 2025, Elcarte, who drives Motorcab 0855, discovered a blue bag left behind in his vehicle by a passenger. Instead of keeping the valuable items, he promptly turned it over to the City Traffic Management and Services (CTMS) office.

The bag contained a laptop, a tablet, IDs, and other personal belongings. Thanks to Elcarte’s quick action and sense of responsibility, the items were safely returned to their rightful owner, Mr. Jun Raul Rara Jr.

Mr. Rara expressed his gratitude upon reclaiming his belongings, praising Elcarte for his honesty. Likewise, CTMS commended the motorcab driver for his exemplary conduct, highlighting how his actions set a positive example for others in the community.

Elcarte’s gesture serves as a reminder of the kindness and trustworthiness that can thrive in everyday life. His act not only restored a sense of security for Mr. Rara but also strengthened the values of integrity and public service in Ozamiz City.

The city continues to encourage citizens to follow Elcarte’s lead, emphasizing that even small acts of honesty can leave a lasting impact on the community.
