Under the leadership of Governor Henry S.Oaminal, Misamis Occidental has reached 15th place in the 2024 Cities andMunicipalities Competitive Index (CMCI), marking it as one of the mostprogressive provinces in the Philippines. This achievement, up from 51st placein 2023, reflects the dedication of the provincial government and the people of Misamis Occidental toward progress.

Five Key Areas of Focus:

·       Economic Dynamism: Under the vision of the "5 Ms" – "Misamisnon Magpuyong Malinawon, Malambuon ug Malipayon" (Peaceful, Prosperous, and Happy Misamisnons), the province strengthened local businesses, agriculture, and tourism. It attracted many entrepreneurs and created numerous job opportunities for the people.

·       Government Efficiency: The transparent and efficient leadership of Governor Oaminal and the local government units (LGUs) has improved public services. Programs focused on education, health, and security have helped streamline government operations.

·       Infrastructure: The province has made significant progress in infrastructure development, including roads, bridges, and public facilities. Good connections between towns and barangays have boosted business growth and service delivery.

·       Resiliency: The province has improved disaster preparedness by implementing climate adaptation and mitigation programs. It has shown quick recovery from disasters, ensuring the safety and security of the people.

·       Innovation: The province promotes modern technology for public services and supports research and development, enhancing its capacity and competitiveness.

Being recognized as one of the most progressiveprovinces is a victory not only for the leaders but for all Misamisnons. It shows that when the community comes together, nothing is impossible for the progress of Misamis Occidental. This success brings pride and inspiration to the people, encouraging them to continue working toward a better future.
