As the vibrant festivities
marking the 95th anniversary of Misamis Occidental came to a close, Governor
Henry Oaminal expressed heartfelt appreciation to everyone who played a part in
creating what he described as a “remarkable celebration” of the province's rich
heritage and shared vision. The event, which ran under the banner of MisOcc at
95, showcased the province’s cultural heritage, unity, and a strong collective
commitment to progress.
The anniversary celebration
welcomed a host of esteemed guests, including Senator Imee Marcos, Deputy
Speaker Congresswoman Camille Villar, Senator Lito Lapid, Former Senator Ping
Lacson, and Department of Tourism Undersecretary Ferdinand Jumapao. Their
presence underscored the national recognition of Misamis Occidental's
significance and its role in the broader scope of national unity and pride.
Highlighting the festivities were
the Asenso Trade Fair, cultural competitions, and a health summit aimed at
elevating local healthcare awareness and services. Each event was designed to
