MISAMIS OCCIDENTAL — Ozamiz City was declared the champion
of the Perangat Festival 2025 Grand Dance Showdown, securing the top cash prize
of ₱2,000,000 after delivering one of the most polished and visually striking
performances in this year’s competition.
Represented by the Ozamiz City School of Arts and Trades
(OCSAT) contingent, the city also swept key technical awards, winning Best in
Costume (₱50,000) and Best Music Champion (₱100,000). Their routine stood out
for its coordinated choreography, vibrant costume design, and strong musical
arrangement.
The Dance Showdown featured several contingents from
Mindanao, each presenting cultural themes and festival concepts before a large
audience.
