OZAMIZ CITY, Misamis Occidental —
Upholding the Asenso Brand of Service and the core values of Asenso Pinoy —
Matinahuron (Respectful), Matinud-anon (Honest), Matinabangon (Helpful), and
Mahigugmaon (Loving) — the Provincial Government of Misamis Occidental, led by
Governor Henry S. Oaminal, approved a total of ₱4 million in financial
assistance for the Province of Cebu, the City of Bogo, and three municipalities
in Cebu to aid in their recovery and rehabilitation efforts.
The decision was made during the
Joint Stakeholders Meeting of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and
Management Council (PDRRMC) and the Provincial Development Council (PDC) held
on October 10, 2025, attended by national government line agencies, city and
municipal mayors, and key provincial officials.
Under the approved allocation, ₱2
million will be given to the Province of Cebu, ₱1 million to the City of Bogo,
and the remaining ₱1 million will be distributed among three Cebu
municipalities — one receiving ₱400,000, and the other two ₱300,000 each.
As the Chairman of the PDRRMC,
Governor Oaminal led this initiative as an act of solidarity and compassion,
reflecting Misamis Occidental’s commitment to extend help beyond its borders in
times of crisis. This move demonstrates the province’s brand of leadership
rooted in the Asenso Pinoy values — respectful in collaboration, honest in
governance, helpful in action, and loving in service.
The initiative also embodies the
essence of Lubos-Lubos nga Serbisyo, a hallmark of the Asenso Misamis Occidental
administration, ensuring that every act of public service carries the heart of
empathy and the spirit of unity.
Through this compassionate gesture, Misamis Occidental continues to uphold its vision of progress (Asenso) that transcends boundaries — a province that not only advances its own development but also extends its hand to help fellow Filipinos rise and rebuild together.
