OZAMIZ

Upholding the Asenso Brand of Service—a governance model anchored on
ethical leadership, people-centered service, and accountable governance—the City
Government of Ozamiz, under the leadership of Mayor Sam Norman G.
Fuentes, facilitated the distribution of ₱3,000 DSWD social pensions to 861
senior citizens from nine barangays at the Ozamiz City Gymnasium.
Beneficiaries
came from Kinuman Norte, Kinuman Sur, Gala, Bagakay, Cogon, Guimad,
Guingona, Stimson Abordo, and Trigos. Among them, 273 octogenarians and
nonagenarians also received ₱10,000 cash incentives from the National
Commission on Senior Citizens (NCSC).
The
payout, organized by the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO)
in coordination with DSWD Field Office 10 and NCSC Region 10,
reflects the city’s continuing effort to uphold the welfare and dignity of the
elderly sector.
Representing
Mayor Fuentes during the activity was Vice Mayor Bebie Neri, joined by City
Councilor Sancho S. Oaminal Jr., Board Members Eduardo Cebedo and Emmie
Lahaylahay representing Governor Henry S. Oaminal, and officials
from DSWD and NCSC.

Ozamiz City.
This
initiative embodies the Asenso Pinoy Core Values of Matinahuron
(Respectful), Matinud-anon (Honest), Matinabangon (Helpful), and Mahigugmaon
(Loving)—showcasing the city’s compassionate and inclusive approach to
governance under the Asenso Leadership.
