MISAMIS OCCIDENTAL, Philippines –

In a bid to bolster emergency response and peacekeeping at the grassroots level, the Provincial Government of Misamis Occidental led by Governor Henry Sevilla Oaminal distributed the fourth batch of brand-new rescue and patrol vehicles to barangays across the province.

Seventy-one vehicles were turned over through the Provincial General Services Office under the flagship Asenso Misamis Occidental program.

Beneficiaries include 18 barangays in Oroquieta City, 12 in Tangub City, 13 in Jimenez, 4 in Lopez Jaena, 5 in Tudela, 9 in Plaridel, 4 in Baliangao, and 6 in Bonifacio.

Beyond emergency response operations, the vehicles are expected to boost barangay-level peacekeeping, assist in daily administrative operations, and ensure faster deployment during crises.

Provincial officials say the move is part of a broader strategy to build resilient and well-equipped local communities, aligned with Misamis Occidental’s vision of ensuring safety, prosperity, and swift public service for every Misamisnon.

The vehicle distribution underscores the administration’s ongoing efforts to strengthen local governance capabilities and deliver tangible support to barangays, especially in rural and hard-to-reach areas.
