OZAMIZ
CITY, Philippines — The year 2026 opened with more than
a traditional courtesy call as officers of the Ozamiz City Police Station
(OCPS) met with Sam Norman Fuentes, signaling a renewed,
service-driven partnership anchored on the Asenso brand of service—a
governance philosophy that places discipline, professionalism, and people-first
leadership at the center of public safety.
Led
by OIC Chief of Police PLtCol. Harvey S. Abellanosa, OCPS officials used the
New Year’s Courtesy Call not merely to pay respects, but to align priorities
with the city government’s vision of Kanunay Asenso Ozamiz—where peace
and order are seen as foundations of inclusive growth and community confidence.
City
Hall, under Mayor Fuentes, has consistently emphasized that public safety is
not just about enforcement, but about trust. In his remarks, the mayor praised
the police force for embodying ethical and responsive policing, noting that
their discipline and professionalism directly reflect the city’s commitment to
governance that delivers results while respecting rights and dignity.
“The
Asenso brand of service demands excellence—not only in performance, but in
character,” Mayor Fuentes stressed, underscoring that collaboration between the
local government and law enforcement remains vital to sustaining stability as
Ozamiz City advances its development agenda.
A
highlight of the meeting was the mayor’s formal recognition of Police Major
Euridecy Revillas, Deputy Chief of Police, who recently passed the Bar
Examinations. Her achievement was hailed as more than a personal milestone; it
was described as a symbol of continuous learning and integrity within the
police service—values that strengthen institutions and deepen public trust.
Mayor
Fuentes lauded Revillas’ perseverance and commitment to the rule of law, saying
her success reflects how the Asenso framework encourages growth, competence,
and accountability among public servants.
For
OCPS, the courtesy call reaffirmed their pledge to remain steadfast partners of
the city government—protecting lives, maintaining order, and serving
communities with compassion and fairness.
As
Ozamiz City steps into 2026, the message from both City Hall and the police
force is clear: peace, progress, and service excellence move forward
together—Para sa Kanunay Asenso Ozamiz.
